During a festive ceremony at the Rotterdam Film Festival Peter Greenaway, the British director, distributed the first diplomas to a group of 25 young film makers from all over Europe who have graduated from a privileged internship program sponsored by the European Film Institute (EIKK) and largely financed by the Allianz Cultural Foundation of Munich.
On the same occasion, Mr. Greenaway announced that ESP graduates will be invited to supply image and sound work to help "fill" the 92 suitcases of the film's title. TULSE LUPER will film for at least 2 years and consist of at least 3 interacting, 6-hour segments, and besides a theatrical film will be a book, a CD-ROM, a TV serial, a play and an opera.
During the diploma ceremony which followed the TULSE LUPER event, each of the 25 students related experiences from their internships and were handed, together with their diplomas, a CD-ROM which the EIKK had produced with and about Peter Greenaway.
